Before your little one arrives, treat yourself (quite rightly) to bump-friendly treatments, glorious food and slow pleasures at one of these luxurious babymoon getaways
Careys Manor, Hampshire
If there’s one thing that pregnancy doesn’t need, it’s extra things to research. That’s why we love the sound of Careys Manor’s babymoon break, which has the whole gorgeous stay mapped out – all you need to do is rock up and let the relaxing commence.
At the New Forest hotel, the overnight package includes a babymoon gift box, spa treatments for two, dinner and breakfast, leaving plenty of time for wandering the manor’s manicured gardens and taking mindful walks in the surrounding National Park. The thoughtfully curated gift box includes Mother Gaia Tummy Balm and Body Oil (so long, dry skin), a wellness journal (not to be confused with another place to write checklists) and SenSpa Wellness Tea for brewing as soon as you arrive.
Both guests get a 30-minute spa treatment at SenSpa: a specialised pregnancy massage to ease lower-back tension and tired legs for the mum-to-be, and a choice of massage, facial or body treatment for their companion.

Idle Rocks, Cornwall
Hugging the harbourside in St Mawes, this stylish Relais & Châteaux hotel comes with views of boats gliding across the water and the therapeutic sound of waves washing over the rocks on which it stands. It’s an idyllic setting for succumbing to one of the hotel’s babymoon breaks.
The two-night pre-baby retreat is all about rest, reconnection and gentle indulgence. Bed down in a sea-view room before surrendering to the 90-minute SEVAN Mother-to-Be Ritual – a pregnancy-safe treatment tailored to your stage of pregnancy, combining a brightening facial with a soothing shoulder, décolleté and arm massage, or a nourishing manicure or pedicure with a leg and foot massage.
Partners aren’t forgotten either: they’ll be treated to a Swedish back massage. Add a two-course lunch, dinner at the Reef Knot restaurant and breakfast overlooking the water, and there’s little reason to leave the harbourside cocoon.

Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa, Cornwall
There’s nothing quite as mind-meltingly calming as drinking in panoramic views of waves rolling onto the shore and breathing in fresh, salt-tinged air. Unless you count a nurturing Mother Gaia spa treatment – that’s a whole new level of nirvana. Happily, both are on offer at this contemporary adults-only hotel overlooking Fistral Beach.
Give your changing body some TLC with Fistral Spa’s Mother GAIA treatment, a gentle back exfoliation followed by a pregnancy massage focusing on areas bearing the brunt of those extra demands. Afterwards, keep things slow with a dip in the heated pool.
Away from the spa, sink into sand-between-the-toes strolls along the namesake beach, dinner at the two-AA-rosette restaurant and some serious downtime in your room. Splash out on a suite for maximum babymoon indulgence.

Saunton Sands, Devon
There can’t be many better places to contemplate impending parenthood than while gazing over three miles of golden sand. At Saunton Sands, Source Spa’s floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views of the beach and Atlantic beyond, making simply looking out to sea feel like a wellness treatment in itself.
The actual treatments are pretty tempting too. Its pregnancy menu includes the 75-minute Source Serenity full-body massage, designed to soothe pregnancy-related aches, cramps and swelling, and a 30-minute Tired Legs & Head Soother combining lower-body exfoliation and massage with a scalp treatment. There’s also a dedicated Made for Mummy spa day, pairing two treatments with lunch overlooking the sea.
Once sufficiently pampered, settle into the lounge with a good book and a herbal tea and watch the changing tides below. If skies are clear, borrow Dryrobes and take a hot chocolate to the dunes, then retreat inside for dinner at the two-AA-rosette restaurant and a well-crafted mocktail before the lure of a cloud-like bed becomes impossible to resist.

Calcot Manor & Spa, Cotswolds
If your idea of pre-baby bliss involves doing as little as humanly possible, Calcot makes a persuasive case for decamping to the Cotswolds. The honey-stone manor sits within 220 acres of rewilded countryside, with meadow views, deep baths and beds made for leisurely mornings – plus plenty of quiet corners in which to savour the calm before your beautiful new chapter begins.
Make the spa the centrepiece of the trip. Calcot’s overnight spa break comes with £100 per person towards treatments, while the spa itself offers massages, facials and holistic therapies alongside an indoor pool and relaxation spaces. When you’re not horizontal, wander the estate’s rewilded trails before dressing for a seasonal supper at The Brasserie.
