Bristol Coffee House

Popular local coffee haunt with an urban, industrial vibe

This former Chandos Deli on Whiteladies Road has been transformed into a characterful coffee house and established itself as a popular local haunt for a quick bite or a gossip with friends. There’s outdoor seating for an alfresco lunch, but it’s worth sitting at one of the tables made from wooden crates to soak up the atmosphere.

The cafe’s urban, industrial vibe is pleasingly understated and really just a backdrop for the coffee and food, which rightly takes centre stage. The coffee bar offers a range of espresso-based drinks and at one end of the counter you’ll find a selection of Chandos Deli salads, sandwiches and Italian pastries.

The service is relaxed and friendly, and the staff knowledgeable about the beans used. As it’s situated right next door to one of the big chains, it’s a chance for Clifton’s coffee lovers to support local and choose a more unique coffee experience.
