Broom Wagon Coffee

Up-and-coming cafe for coffee buffs in Seaton, Devon

While owner Glenn Moorley is an enthusiastic cyclist – and the name (after the van that traditionally picks up riders that abandon during a Grand Tour) and interior suggest a two-wheeled theme – you don’t need to be a fan of Lycra to immerse yourself in the vibrant scene at this East Devon coffee shop.

Broom Wagon is an up-and-coming destination for coffee buffs, with locally produced Coffee Factory espresso being pulled through the La Marzocco Linea machine. You’ll also find guest single origins being explored through various brew methods, as Glenn experiments with the AeroPress and V60.

The cafe’s location makes it the perfect pit stop after a walk (or ride) along the Jurassic Coast, and it also welcomes those too young for coffee and four-legged friends. Refuel with one of the intriguing handmade tray bakes, with changing flavour combinations from blueberry bakewell to almond and fig. In warm weather, enjoy the beach vibe and cool down with a refreshing iced coffee from the AeroPress.
