Constantine Stores

Constantine Stores: Cornwall’s drinks treasure trove

A tiny Cornish village isn’t the first place you might expect to stumble across a stupendous wine and spirit selection but head to Constantine and you’ll discover the South West’s largest collection of fine spirits, wines and beers. With over 7,000 drinks under one roof – including rare whiskies, international rums and local wines – Constantine Stores is a cornucopia of artisan tipples.

The family-run business was established over 60 years ago and, over the decades, has established its reputation as the most comprehensive wine and spirits collection in the region. The success of its bricks-and-mortar shop led to the launch of Drink Finder in 1999, an online counterpart that brought the exciting offering to a much wider audience.

From outside, Constantine Stores looks like any other smart corner shop but venture in and you’ll soon discover it’s a drinks connoisseur’s dream. Shelves groan under the weight of wines and sherries, madeiras and ports, vintage and non-vintage Champagnes and sparkling wines. Add to that over a thousand whiskies, the South West’s biggest collection of gins and a vast array of rums, cognacs and armagnacs, and this thrilling spirit selection is nothing short of remarkable.

Don’t be bamboozled by the choice – the attentive and extremely knowledgeable staff are happy to advise and make recommendations. It’s this unparalleled level of service, together with the phenomenal choice of quality sips, that draws customers back time and again.

If you’re in Cornwall, it’s well worth a detour to peruse the aisles and pick up a few bottles of something special – including some exciting collectables. Although if you can’t make it to the shop, you’ll be relieved to know that the impressive selection is available online at Drink Finder and staff are just as happy to help over the phone.
