Society Cafe

Independent coffee shop taking on the high street chains

Society Cafe, the little sister venture to one of Bath’s most popular coffee spots, is a new addition to the city centre. Owners Adrian and Jane Campbell-Howard have boldly taken on the high street’s big name coffee shops, and are keen to prove that you don’t need to go off the beaten track to enjoy a quality cup.

The quick stop shop possesses all of the original venue’s character and charm, and its clean, sharp design echoes the serious caffeine ethos. Take-out is common practice here, whether for office workers, regulars or tourists in need of a caffeine boost, but there are also a few bar seats for those who want to linger.

Grab one of the tasty sandwiches which are freshly prepared by Jane, or indulge your sweet tooth from the tempting range of cakes and pastries.

Insider’s tips

The team’s pride and joy is a Korean ridge brewer which takes up to eight hours to produce a batch of cold brew.
