Tranquil hotel overlooking stunning Constantine Bay
Located close to Padstow, The Quies Restaurant in Constantine Bay will soon be the hot name on the lips of the South West’s foodies. Possibly the winding, narrow roads that surround it have helped to keep its food a well-kept secret until now.
Owned by the same family for almost 50 years, Treglos has a well established reputation for its friendly first class service.
By day, the Treglos Hotel enjoys stunning views across neat lawns towards Constantine Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall, and The Quies Restaurant is an ideal spot to watch the fiery summer sunsets. However, as the light fades, the restaurant takes on an intimate feel, illuminated by the soft glow of candles at each table.
As you’d expect for a restaurant within easy reach of Padstow, you’ll find plenty of the freshest seafood on the menu, such as grilled Cornish mackerel salad with celeriac remoulade, lemon oil dressing and warm focaccia bread. However, the menu’s meatier options are not to be missed with tempting dishes like tenderloin pork medallions with Cornish Rattler sauce, black pudding and champ potatoes on offer. Finish with one of the satisfyingly indulgent desserts.
Relaxation is at the heart of the hotel’s ethos and it’s the perfect location to get away from it all. It’s worth combining your visit with a trip to the hotel’s luxurious spa or a round of golf. The peaceful location has a soothing effect and you’ll return home feeling relaxed and refreshed – and keen to spread the word.

Treglos has an interesting history – Wallis Simpson and Prince Edward had secret liaisons at the hotel and the WRENS were billeted here during the Second World War. There’s a hidden well to be found in the garden and the back staircase is said to have a benign ghostly visitor.
Treglos is ideally placed for guests to explore all the secret coves and enchanting hideaways that Cornwall has to offer, but it’s only a stone’s throw from the bustle of Padstow and a variety of great restaurants.
