The British Tamil chef will discuss his new cookbook, Elevate: Everyday Ingredients, Incredible Flavours, at the Osprey Tent at Skern in Appledore on Wednesday, September 23, in conversation with Food Lifestyle writer, author and broadcaster Jane Rakison.
Drawing inspiration from his Sri Lankan heritage, Brin’s accessible recipes feature global mash-ups, speedy midweek wins and comfort food with a twist – all designed to deliver maximum flavour without stretching the budget.
This Appledore event promises to be an entertaining evening, packed with practical ideas for escaping a cooking rut, whether preparing a quick post-work meal or a leisurely weekend feast.
Brin, a former veterinary surgeon in Bristol, swapped scrubs for the professional kitchen after winning MasterChef. His debut cookbook has already won praise from Michel Roux Jr and Paul Ainsworth.
