Shake off the winter blues with a sumptuously lazy Sunday lunch for you and three friends at The Mill House near Tintagel
With a few more months to go until the lighter mornings and warmer temps kick in, we’ve teamed up with The Mill House in Cornwall to treat one reader – and three lucky chums – to a cosy two course lunch this winter.
There are few better antidotes to the shorter days and January lull than rounding up the gang for a stomp along the coast followed by a long and lazy lunch at a great pub. And the winner of this competition will be doing it in style at this 18th century former corn mill.
Comforting dishes on The Mill House’s Sunday menu this season include whole West Country plaice, Moroccan-style sweet potato and chickpea tagine, and Marshgate slow braised beef brisket with Yorkshire pud.
Whatever you plump for, make sure to leave room for one of the lust-list desserts. We’d recommend following the tempting banana and toffee roulade with a wander along the rugged Cornish coastline which skirts The Mill House. Or, if the thought of venturing past the grounds is far too much fuss for a sleep Sunday, pinch a spot on the sofa by the log burner and explore the inn’s local ale collection.
To be in with a chance of winning just answer the following question …
In which county will you find The Mill House?
