Always wanted to learn how to make pasta like a pro, finesse your patisserie skills or create Michelin-restaurant-standard dishes at home? We’ve teamed up with Lucknam Park to treat one amateur chef to a Cook, Stay and Spa break at the Wiltshire retreat
However many times you re-read a tricky recipe or attempt to follow a YouTube tutorial, there are some elements of cookery that are best conquered with the help of real-life guidance from a professional.
Even the best step-by-step video can’t show you how a fillet of fish will feel to the touch when it’s perfectly cooked or conjure the heady scent of the exact mix of fragrant herbs and spices that make a Thai curry sing.
That’s why ambitious home cooks head to Lucknam Park Cookery School to roll up their sleeves and glean insider knowledge from head chef Ben Taylor.
Drawing on his wealth of experience in professional kitchens, Ben covers a globetrotting array of courses which includes everything from bread basics and modern bistro cooking to Spanish cuisine and seasonal Italian dishes.
After a busy day creating restaurant-standard macarons, canapés and pasta masterpieces, students get to make the most of the luxury manor house location and swap their chef whites for swimwear.
The hotel’s new Cook, Stay and Spa breaks enable guests to unwind in the award winning spa after their full-day cookery course, before spending the night in one of the gorgeous garden view rooms.
The next morning starts with a full English breakfast before guests head home, armed with their new knowledge, ready to share their fresh repertoire of standout dishes.
To be in with a chance of winning just answer the following question …
What is the name of Lucknam Park Cookery School’s head chef?
