Consider yourself a coffee connoisseur? Dorset’s Conker Spirit is taking one caffeine fan – and a fortuitous friend – on an adventure of a lifetime
When Conker founder Rupert Holloway set about creating a cold brew spirit, he knew that only top-quality beans would set his artisan tipple apart from the mass-made coffee liqueurs. It’s why he teamed up with local roaster Ben Roberts of Beanpress Coffee Co to sustainably source single-origin beans for his caffeine-spiked Dorset spirit.
This May, Rupert and Ben are collaborating again on a trip of a lifetime and have decided to invite a lucky coffee lover along for the ride. Visiting the sustainable farms in Brazil which grow the speciality-grade coffee beans used in Conker’s cold brew liqueur, Rupert and Ben (plus winner and chum) will learn first-hand the lengths that the dedicated farmers go to to grow top-notch coffee beans.
‘Our producers grow beautifully bright and vibrant coffees and are absolutely dedicated to sustainable production – looking after the environment and their local communities,’ says Rupert. ‘I’m so excited to see this for ourselves and take a couple fans of our cold brew coffee liqueur too.’
Not only will the winner get to spend the trip visiting the farms and meeting the farmers, they’ll also get stuck into coffee cupping with the farmers and help Rupert and Ben choose the beans to be used in Conker’s cold brew spirit.
Fancy your chances? Throw your hat into the ring here. Entries close on March 31 and you must be free to travel to Brazil between May 25-30, 2019.
