Summery days out don’t have to start with digging out rusty bikes from the shed, toasting the end slices of the-daybefore- yesterday’s bread and packing a disappointing picnic which will sweat at the bottom of your rucksack until lunch.
Knowing that hours spent with loved ones during the short British summertime are precious, the chaps at Darts Farm have devised a tempting package to ensure your cherished day off is deliciously stress-free from start to finish.
The bespoke Estuary Experience starts at a leisurely pace with a hearty breakfast at the Topsham farm shop’s cafe. Pick your fuel for a day of adventure on the Exe Estuary cycle trail (go trad with a classic farmer’s brekkie or plump for something lighter like the smashed avo with roast vine tomatoes on toasted sourdough) before picking up a beautiful Pashley bike from the onsite cycle shop.
Don’t fret about finding somewhere for lunch as the Darts Farm deli will have packed you a picnic of locally sourced delights to tuck into on your travels. Pick a sunny spot near Lympstone or go the whole hog to Exmouth, then delve into a hamper stuffed with a selection of Vicky’s sourdough bread, Quicke’s cheese, Mia’s freshly dressed salads, olives and locally grown fruit.
