6 O'clock Gin cheers

To celebrate World Gin Day on June 12, we’ve teamed up with 6 O’clock Gin to treat one lucky reader to a haul of juniper goodies – including a bottle of its new chef-collab spirit.

The 6 O’clock Gin team (named after a family tradition of indulging in a G&T at six o’clock) have years of experience when it comes to producing artisan gins and fruity liqueurs.

Their latest innovation is with local culinary legend Romy Gill MBE. They’ve collaborated to create a sip which infuses strikingly smooth gin with fragrant Indian herbs and spices.

The premium tipple entices the senses via a natural burnt-orange hue (the gin is infused with mango juice) and aromatic scent. The mango creates a rich sweetness, while the addition of ginger, cardamom and cumin – inspired by Romy’s Indian cuisine – adds a hint of spice. Additional botanicals of lime and lemon peel provide a delicate citrus undertone, and coriander delivers a subtle savoury finish.

For deliciously refreshing results, the 6 O’clock Gin pros recommend serving it with plenty of ice, a high-quality tonic and a slice of fresh mango. It’s the perfect drink to add a touch of tropical to your World Gin Day celebrations.

For a taste of what goes on behind the stills, gin lovers can explore the Thornbury distillery via a tour and tasting experience. It’s an excellent opportunity to find out how the team create their hero range and unique concoctions including 6 O’clock Gin Romy’s Edition.

Want to roadtest the new tipple and snoop around the distillery? Enter our competition to win a bundle of goodies.
