8Track Rum
Closing date: August 31, 2022

Fuelling everything from festival blowouts to blanket banquets, 8Track Spiced Rum is the premium spirit on everyone’s lips this summer

If you’ve danced in a field to a live band this summer, there’s a good chance you’ve tried 8Track Spiced Rum. The music-lovers at the Charlestown-based brand have been touring the South West’s best festivals in their converted school-bus, serving delicious spiced-rum cocktails and samples of their liquid-gold spirit.

Founders and friends Matt Franks and Jeremy Mitchell created 8Track Spiced Rum to embody their love of music, celebration and good times, so it’s status as the festival drink of 2022 is rather fitting. Two rums form the pumping baseline of the exuberant spirit: Guyana rum distilled from native sugarcane molasses is blended with an eight-year-old vintage Barbados rum to create a smooth yet complex spirit. It’s then infused with natural botanicals and spices including Seville orange, vanilla, clove, ginger and cinnamon.

While it’s hard to beat sipping a zingy 8Track cocktail surrounded by fellow music lovers and jumping around to your favourite band, it’s not only festivalgoers who proclaim it as their tipple of choice. Those already clued-up about the award-winning spiced rum keep a bottle on standby for long and lazy picnics, garden gatherings and sundowner beach barbecues.
