New dining destination to open in Wiltshire

Chic dining-pub-with-rooms and farm shop The Great Bustard to open near Stonehenge in Wiltshire in June

The Great Bustard, Wiltshire

Discerning foodies will want to put Wiltshire’s Woodford Valley on their to-visit list this summer as it’ll soon be home to The Great Bustard – a farm-to-table dining pub with ten stylish rooms – plus a farm shop and treatment room as part of the Great Durnford Estate.

Tourists scoping out Stonehenge (The Great Bustard is located just three miles from the World Heritage Site) and local and visiting foodies can look forward to dining in a picturesque setting – thanks to the tasteful restoration of the country pub – as they experience produce-led feasts crafted by head chef Jordan Taylor.

Jordan’s seasonal menus are dictated by what’s available from local farmers and The Durnford Estate’s kitchen gardens. These quality ingredients will be showcased in creative small plates, sumptuous roasts, wood-fired pizzas and classic puddings. Menus will be complemented by a considered wine list, craft beers and handcrafted tipples. For a more intimate feast, private dining room The Black Grouse is available for 12.

In keeping with the name of the pub (which refers to Great Durnford Estate being the location of the reintroduction of the Great Bustard bird species to the UK), each of the tastefully decorated on-site rooms is named after birds who have had the same successful reintroduction.
