The Railway Inn in Somerset scoops two AA rosettes

Thatchers Cider-owned pub The Railway Inn in Sandford celebrates new accolade

There will have been many pints of cider raised this week at The Railway Inn after the contemporary dining pub received two AA rosettes. Located in the north Somerset village of Sandford, the Thatchers Cider-owned pub can now add the special title to its growing list of achievements.

AA judges were impressed with the dining spot, which they said was home to ‘accomplished cooking and local ciders’. Visitors to The Railway Inn can expect to dine on seasonal, local fare in the form of classic pub grub dishes, grilled steaks, small plates and refined specials like Mendip lamb rump with roasted new potatoes, crumbed carrot and celeriac puree. Naturally, a cracking drinks list includes a wide range of Thatchers ciders as well as innovative aperitifs such as chocolate orange Negroni, spicy myrtle and apple crumble.

We are beyond delighted to be recognised in these prestigious awards and honoured with not just one, but two AA rosettes. We dedicate ourselves to giving customers an elevated dining experience; using fresh, local and sustainable ingredients to create dishes that delight and are worthy of accompanying a Thatchers Cider,’ says head chef James Davidson.
