We can’t think of many places we’d rather spend a sunny summer’s day than a breezy beer garden with a cocktail in hand

And this blackberry beauty from Roo Allison, landlady and cocktail connoisseur at The Catherine Wheel in Marshfield, is best enjoyed with the girls on the Cotswolds pub’s alfresco terrace

  • You will need
  • Method
  • 6 O’Clock Gin 50ml
  • Fresh lemon juice 25ml
  • Sugar syrup 15ml
  • Crème de mûre 20ml
  • Fresh blackberries 3
  • Lemon a slice
  1. Add the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice and shake to combine.
  2. In a tumbler, add the crème de mûre to fresh ice before straining the gin mix on top.
  3. Garnish with blackberries and a slice of lemon.

You will need

  • 6 O’Clock Gin 50ml
  • Fresh lemon juice 25ml
  • Sugar syrup 15ml

Method

  1. Add the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice and shake to combine.
