Jack Stein has been on the blower, inviting some of his chef chums (read: cooking royalty) down to Cornwall to join him at Rock Oyster Festival this summer
After a hugely successful inaugural event, Rock Oyster Festival returns to Dinham House near Rock this July for three days of food, music and fun. Cornish chef Jack Stein is hosting this year and has called on some of his foodie friends to join him.
The A-list line-up of chefs includes Rick Stein, Gizzi Erskine, Rosemary Shrager, Romy Gill, Emily Scott, Richard Bertinet, Adam Handling and Chris Eden. As well as performing cookery demos on The Pearl Stage, the chefs and foodie pros will be hosting feasts in the Chef’s Tipis and cooking alfresco on Mussel Beach.
‘The location is fantastic, overlooking the Camel Estuary and Padstow, and I’m looking forward to introducing everyone to where I grew up and how it inspired my career, while also sharing hints and tips on how to best prepare the delicious local produce that Cornwall provides,’ said Jack.
Taking place on July 29-31, the festival will also welcome a host of musical talent. Laura Mvula, Happy Mondays and Passenger are set to headline The Oyster Stage, while at Mussel Beach Cornish bands and DJs will be playing late into the evenings.
Situated between rolling hills and overlooking the Camel Estuary, Rock Oyster is a festival like no other. Alongside the food and music events, there’ll be a huge range of wellbeing activities such as paddleboarding, yoga and wild running.
