Cornwall’s biggest food and music fest, Rock Oyster Festival, has revealed its headline chefs and acts for 2023
Rock Oyster Festival is set to return to the banks of the Camel Estuary on July 27-30, 2023 for three days of live music, fabulous food and general good times.
Following an incredible event this year, the organisers have secured a not-to-be-missed bill of big-name singers, bands and chefs to take the 2023 festival next level. Kitchen glitterati on the bill (so far) include Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Rick Stein and Andi Oliver. Hugh said: ‘Next summer feels a long way off, but I’m delighted to know that in the last weekend of July I’ll be celebrating fabulous West Country seafood at Rock Oyster Festival. I’ll be bringing with me happy memories of childhood holidays in Cornwall, and some storming fish and shellfish recipes. I hope you’ll come and join the fun, and the feast.’
Music headliners include the legendary Nile Rodgers & Chic and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, with the final headline act due to be announced in early 2023. Mercury-prize nominated band The Big Moon will also be there, alongside entertainment from Don Letts, Crazy P Soundsystem, Gwenno and House Gospel Choir.
In addition to the live music, chef demos, and cracking feasts and cookouts, festivalgoers will be able to get involved in all manner of foodie fun such as cooking masterclasses (for all ages) and oyster shucking contests. As part of its family and wellbeing programme, there’ll also be circus workshops, fashion shows, yoga and spa treatments.
