To kick off this year’s Truro Food Festival, the chefs at The Alverton in Truro are hosting a very special tasting evening at the historic hotel
Chefs Nick Hodges and Erkki Mick are masterminding an exceptional tasting menu to mark the start of Truro Food Festival. The sumptuous supper will take place in The Alverton‘s Library on October 1 and will feature five bespoke courses crafted in collaboration with Annie Sibert from My Fish Kitchen and James Greet from The Greet Cheese.
Devised to celebrate Truro and showcase the very best seafood, grass-fed meats and produce the area has to offer, the menu will feature classic Cornish flavours with a signature Alverton twist. Some of the dishes on the line-up will be demonstrated by the chefs at the festival, including Annie’s poached fillet of lemon sole with mussel and oyster nage, saffron and fine herbs, and Nick’s fillet of Nanteague Farm beef with thyme, garlic, smoked Cornish sea salt, poached St Kew egg, truffled hollandaise, Cornish gouda and tartare pickles.
Tickets to the exclusive dinner are almost sold out but you can nab one of the remaining ones here. Why not turn supper into a foodie mini-break by booking one of the gorgeous rooms or courtyard suites at The Alverton?
