Award-winning Cornish farmer launches free local delivery

Redruth’s Primrose Herd has launched a free local delivery service in the run up to Christmas

Like everyone around the world, Cornish farmer Sally Lugg has had an extraordinary year. For years Primrose Herd has supplied the finest restaurants in the South West with quality meat, but when lockdown restrictions came into place Sally and team had to think fast and adapt their business to survive. The solution was an online order and home delivery service.

And now with a second lockdown in place, the team have quickly adapted once again to ensure local families can continue to source quality food safely and conveniently. To do their bit for the local community in the run-up to Christmas, the Primrose Herd team are offering free delivery on orders over £30 to everyone with a TR postcode.

Sally says: ‘2020 has felt like a relentless agility contest. Obviously we are standing by to support the Cornish hospitality industry in any way we can, and hope our pubs, restaurants and hotels will be able to trade profitably in the run-up to Christmas – there is a lot of concern about that right now amongst our friends in the trade.

However, we’re very lucky we are able to reach our customers via the website during these periods of upheaval – people are extremely keen to source great quality food and have it delivered to their door.’

The award-winning family farm has also launched a range of Christmas hampers featuring all the porky essentials you’ll need for the big day. You can browse the selection here.
