Mole Valley Farmers call for unsung rural heroes

Know someone who deserves to win Christmas – care of Mole Valley Farmers?

During the pandemic, many individuals across the South West have selflessly supported others – and now 12 of them are going to be rewarded with an entire country Christmas from Mole Valley Farmers.

Country Heroes celebrates those who have supported their community by going above and beyond during what has been a devastating time for many in agricultural and rural areas.

People have been hard hit through loss of income, isolation and loneliness, uncertainties about the future and, sadly, by losing loved ones. So Mole Valley established the awards to thank some of the unsung rural heroes –ordinary people who have become the heartbeat of their local communities in the face of adversity.

Jack Cordery, Mole Valley Farmers chief executive officer said: ‘Mole Valley Farmers has been committed to supporting agricultural and rural communities for 60 years. During this time we have learnt to appreciate how important supporting one another is and how much we really are all in this together. With 2020 being one of the most challenging years for us all, we felt it important to shine a light on the kind acts and selfless goodwill of our Country Heroes.’

If you’d like to nominate someone you think fits the bill, it’s very easy to do. Make your nomination here or visit the Mole Valley Facebook page. Voting is open to everyone and you’ve got until December 4 to submit your nomination.
