The Food Drink Devon Awards shine a light on the passionate producers and establishments that make Devon such a deliciously good dining destination – and entries for 2021 are now open
Open to members and non-members alike, the 2021 Food Drink Devon Awards are split into three categories: Producer, Hospitality and Retailer. There are Silver, Gold and Platinum awards to be won in each section for the most outstanding entrants. So whether you’ve crafted a lip-smackingly good product, run a restaurant that’s powered through this seriously tough time, or been working all hours in your street-food truck ensuring locked-down locals get top-notch takeaway, the awards are a chance to be recognised for all your hard work.
Producer Awards
Individual items from primary and secondary producers will be blind-tested by an expert panel. Alongside Silver, Gold and Platinum, a lucky few will be crowned Food and Drink Products of the Year.
Hospitality Awards
Devon restaurants, hotels, cafes, bistros, pubs, bars, takeaways and street-food vendors will be visited by mystery diners to judge the top venues in the county.
Retailer Awards
Farm shops, delis, food halls, community shops, other food and drink shops and online retailers will receive mystery visits from judges looking for the best spots to discover fab local finds.
Judging is carried out by a panel of independent experts including big names from the region. This year’s winners will be announced at a ceremony on October 4, 2021.
