Guy Ritchie reveals smokin’ new restaurant

Lore of the Sky, Guy Ritchie restaurant

Big fans of barbecue food will be happy to hear Guy Ritchie’s team has launched Lore of the Sky, a smokehouse restaurant in Dorset with a Texan-inspired menu.

Found on Ritchie’s Compton Abbas Airfield in an AONB, the restaurant features Texan-barbecue food smoked on-site using a state-of-the-art J&R Oyler Smoker. Lore of the Sky is the only place in the country with this snazzy smoker (only one other can be found in Europe).

The menu has been curated by head chef Alex Brown who is dedicated to sourcing local ingredients. Standout dishes on the menu include tender oak-smoked pork belly, loaded smokehouse nachos and a slow-braised jackfruit burger. Thanks to Compton Abbas Airfield’s location at the top of Cranborne Chase, all of the flame-licked food is served with panoramic views across Shaftesbury and beyond.

Lore of the Sky is the latest addition to Ritchie’s portfolio of hospitality locations. Sister sites include London pub Lore of the Land, cooking over fire experience Cashmere Caveman, Wild Kitchens and the private entertainment space Ashcombe Estate, which is also Ritchie’s family home.
