New food and music festival launching in south Devon

Get stuck into exquisite food, chefs’ demos and live music at Torbay’s new four-day English Riviera Food & Music Festival

Enthusiastic foodies know one of the best ways to see chefs in action and to learn the tricks of their trade is at a food festival, and this new event set on the glorious south Devon coast promises just that and more.

Acclaimed South West chefs including Jude Kereama, Harriet Mansell, Charlotte Vincent, Dan Cox, Hugo Guest and James Tanner will be joined by the likes of Matt Tebbutt, Frederick Forster, Daniel Galmiche, Paul Rankin, Nick Nairn and Lesley Waters on the chefs’ stage at Torre Abbey Meadows in Torquay. They’ll be whipping up some of their favourite dishes for festivalgoers to try, as well as answering burning culinary questions.

The stellar chef line-up is matched by an eclectic bill of live music, featuring popular acts including Scouting for Girls, UB40, Razorlight, The Vamps, The Feeling, Rebecca Ferguson and Fleur East. The event is super family friendly and there’ll be plenty of interactive fun and games to keep little ones entertained and create lasting family memories (under fives enter the festival for free).

Sustenance over the four-day event will be supplied by a range of street food vendors. There’ll also be the chance to pick up locally produced food and drink goodies at the daily market village.

English Riviera Food and Music Festival runs from May 26-29. Tickets are currently at 22 per cent off for General Admission tickets and a fixed price of £12.50 for children (aged 5-16 years).
