Somerset cidermaker Thatchers launches Juicy Apple in supermarkets

Following huge demand for the new eco cider since its first appearance in pubs and bars earlier this year, Thatchers’ Juicy Apple has been let loose on the high street.

A 4 per cent cider created to mimic the taste of biting into a fresh apple, Juicy Apple has been created by the next generation of the Thatchers family and is made using renewable energy, including power generated from the family’s giant solar field at Myrtle Farm.

Fifth generation cidermaker Eleanor Thatcher says: ‘Juicy Apple’s taste is powered by sunshine which means it’s as good for the environment as it tastes. In every way this is a drink for the next generation,’ explaining that the sustainability credentials of the drink meet the next generation’s expectations of ‘exceptional quality and eco-consciousness.’

Juicy Apple is stocked in Morrisons and will be rolled out at further retailers in the coming weeks, it’s also available on tap at bars and pubs up and down the country.
